Half term & Halloween fun

Lots of Halloween fun and spooky events for children of all ages this week.

We have put together our ‘best picks’ of places to go and activities to do this week in the half term lead up to Halloween.

Starry Skies at the Planetarium in Oxfordhal1

‘Did you know that there are over 9000 visible stars in our night sky but this is a tiny proportion of the estimated 200 – 400 billion that make up the Milky Way? Light pollution in our cities means we rarely see more than a small fraction of our celestial neighbours, but that’s where Science Oxford can help. In our inflatable planetarium you can see the night sky as it really is.’

You will be shown how to navigate the stars, how the movement of the Earth creates night and day and how the sky changes through the seasons.
