Fees

Agency fees: £15.00 per booking

Babysitter fees:  Rates vary from £10 – £14hr, it will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.

Booking Terms

• Where babysitting takes place at a hotel / venue the babysitter must be located in the same room as the child/ren, i.e. they cannot sit outside the room with a monitor.
• Babysitting is regarded as taking place between the hours of 7pm and 3am, if your required hours are outside these time please contact us.
• For the safety of your children, we adhere to strict adult/child ratios.
• The babysitter is booked to look after the children detailed above – it is at the sitter discretion to agree, if asked to look after other children.
• We kindly ask that you ensure we have all the requested information above about your children so you can leave with the peace of mind your nanny has everything they need.
• The duties of a babysitter are to undertake the bedtime routine of the children, to entertain them through quiet play, stories, board games and TV time (if permitted) and to supervise the children at all times. No domestic duties.
• Lemonjelly must be made aware of any medical conditions or additional needs the children have at the time of booking in order to provide a suitable babysitter.
• Should the babysitter arrive and be informed that any of the children are unwell, they have the right to cancel the booking, – please remember that our sitters work with children and some have their own. They will not want to become ill themselves or risk passing anything on to other children.
• Any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in a sensitive and positive way. The babysitter will explain why the behaviour is unacceptable and/or try to divert the child’s attention to something more appropriate. Parents will be contacted and asked to return should the child put the safety of other children or the babysitter at risk by continually being disruptive or behaving in an unacceptable manor.
• Where a babysitter has been booked for a specific amount of time, they should be paid for that time even if you arrive home early, any extra hours should be agreed on the night with your babysitter and will be payable at their hourly rate.
• At the end of all bookings parents must hand over care of the children in person with the babysitter. Babysitters can not at any time leave the children with monitors, listening services or unattended in a room.
• All rebooking’s should be arranged though Lemonjelly. We kindly request you do not contact your nanny directly in relation to new bookings.

PARENTS MUST INFORM THEIR BABYSITTER IF THEY HAVE BEEN DELAYED. ANY CHILD NOT COLLECTED FROM THE BABYSITTER’S CARE OR IN THE EVENT OF PARENTS NOT RETURNING HOME THE BABYSITTER WILL CONTACT THE EMERGENCY CONTACT GIVEN ABOVE.

IF ALL ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT PARENTS OR EMERGENCY CONTACTS FAIL, OUTSIDE SERVICES SUCH AS POLICE OR SOCIAL SERVICES WILL BE CALLED.

Cancellations

• Booking Fees are none refundable.
• If possible please provide 24 hours’ notice when cancelling bookings.
• We understand plans change and that 24hr notice cannot always been given, in such events we kindly request a goodwill gesture of 3 hours salary to be paid to us for your babysitter.
